〜イタリアでの暮らしのスケッチ〜 5. イブイブの引っ越し a piano house 2

どうせ引っ越すならクリスマスまでに。年末には子供の友人と夫がやって来る。新しい家のサプライズ、というのは楽しい！

決めたら速い。荷物は大してないし猫のレオナも喜びそう。放し飼いにしてあげられる。プジョーでどんどん運ぶ。ルイーザの家も実家も近くなった。

以前はここにマルコが両親と暮らしていたが、ご主人が亡くなりマルコが結婚して裏の敷地に新居を建ててからはここはママの一人暮らし。マルコの離婚で再び母子が新居で暮らし始め、ピアノのあるこの家が空き家となった。しかも広いこの家の２階はご主人の形見の200羽の鳥だけのために使われており。。。そんな鳥屋敷、それはそれは大急ぎで掃除して私たちに引き渡す流れとなった。

ついに23日のクリスマスイブイブに引っ越し完了。広い一軒家初めての夜、ワクワク。

次の日はあまりの静けさに目が覚めた。

キッチンの窓の外は、一面の銀世界だった。

「おはよう！」

「はい！」

「隣に住んでるドメニコだよ、引っ越し昨日でよかった、これからよろしくね。雪かき、してあげるよ！」

と双子のお嬢さんとすでに雪かきしてる様子。気さくなお隣さんに嬉しくなる。早速私も着込んで雪かきに加わった。おかげでやっと車を出す事が出来たわけで。。。

ゆっくりする間も無く暖炉をなんとか燃やさなければと気付く。雪道に車を出しカレフールにて２束の薪を買う。

人生初の暖炉。小さい木片の下に着火剤キューブで点火。またその上に小さめの薪を円錐状に立て火が移るのを待つ。移ったらその上に大きめの薪を置いて。空気の通る隙間を作らないと何度やっても火がつかない。３０分以内にゴーゴーと音を立てるくらいの火にしないと朝は何も始まらないから、必死だった。おかげで今ではどこのキャンプに行ってもBBQパーティーに行っても火起こしだけには絶対の自信がある。とほほ。

これでサプライズの家は準備OK。あとは空港からここにたどり着く最後の曲がり角を、いつもと逆方向に曲がる時、どうやってごまかすか！？考えながらしばらくほくそ笑むとして。。。

Well as I decided to move, it well be before Christmas.My son's friend and my husband will come at the end of the year and he does not know yet of the new house. Surprise..Fun....!!

Not many things to move, and the cat Leona seems please too. So I stuffed my little Peugeot and carried everything little by little. And Luisa house is now so close,  was very pleased.

My new house was where Marco's parents lived before his dad passed away.Marco got married and built a new house in the back yard behind the old one where is mother kept living  by herself. When Marco divorced ,his mother moved in with him and all of a sudden the old house with the beautiful piano was vacant. The 2nd floor of the old house use to be full of birds, maybe 200. Marco's father loved birds.Now was  full of empty cages and other things that need to be clean for our arrival. Let's get started.

Everything was  finally clean and we could move inside the house by Christmas eve. Big wide old house.

First night.. very exciting. I think because it was so calm and silent that my eyes opened . I got up and looked outside the kitchen window and it was all white. It snowed.

"Good mormig! Hi! I'm Domenico, I live next door, good thing you moved in yesterday. Welcome.....let me help you clearing the snow."

It seems that his daughter was already shoveling. I'm so pleased about my friendly neighbor.I also got started shoveling the snow, and thanks to everyone. I was finally able to move the car.

I realized I needed to get the fireplace going. So I put the car on the snowy road and headed out to buy some woods to burn.

First time a light a fireplace in my life. Put some small pieces of woods and under some fire accelerator .Make like a cone with other pieces of wood a little bigger and when the fire get started add bigger pieces of wood little by little untill all get caught on fire. If we do not make gaps between the woods to let air get through and help the fire get bigger, no matter how many times I try it will not light up. I was desperate to start the fire in 30 min.early in the morning otherwise nothing would get started. Anyway thanks to that experience I can go now camping or to a BBQ party and I am very confident about making a fire started.

So, now all the preparations for the surprise about the new house are ready. Now the only question remaining is how  can I deceive my husband and turn the last corner left before arriving to the new  house since the old one is in the opposite direction? without him noticing anyting?

As I think about that for a while, I start smiling....
